Welcome to SkyWatch! SkyWatch Astronomy Education brings you the MirrorDome*, a Portable Planetarium and traveling theatre that will accommodate a class of 30 children (see next page). This new and exciting technology enthrals children and adults alike with its realistic display of the sky and its wonderful 360 degree movies. (*Note: The MirrorDome was developed by researchers at the Swinburne University, and is also known as a “CosmoDome” in other Australian states: see http://www.cosmodome.net.) SkyWatch Astronomy Education is a South Australian owned and based company that is dedicated to encouraging children, educators and the general public to learn about and appreciate the wonders of the Universe. As well as bringing the MirrorDome portable planetarium into your classroom, SkyWatch Astronomy Education conducts star viewing nights with the latest telescopes and viewing aids, Professional Development opportunities for teachers, and provides curriculum-based lesson plans and materials covering a wide range of Astronomical topics. We cater for all ages and standards.
